This Inwood home built in the 1990’s was showing its age. Decked out with 90’s era columns, furdowns, tray ceiings and wallpaper borders, (lots of wallpaper borders) it was time for a major update. The original floorplan divided the house in half with only a small doorway leading to the kitchen, family room and bedrooms from the formal dining and living rooms. During the remodel, columns were removed from the formal living and dining rooms and walls opened up to unify one side of the house with the other. Opening up the walls visually doubled the space as seen from the front door. The new kitchen was oriented to draw you into the home. Furdowns and tray ceiings were removed to create the illusion of more space. Hardwood floors seamlessly continue throughout the house accentuating the open feel.

The kitchen features pull out pantry cabinets, a small appliance cabinet where appliances can be used in place instead of cluttering countertops, and motorized touch hinges on upper cabinets.
